BRYCE NATIONAL PARK – June 10, 2023

Bryce National Park is another wonderful national park. The landscape is a wall of “hoodoos.” Hoodoos are pillars of sandstone and other fine sedimentary rock created by the processes of uneven weathering and erosion. For 200 days of the year, the region experiences above and below freezing temperatures, allowing ice and rain to form the hoodoos. The elevation of Bryce Canyon is from 8,000 feet to over 9,000 feet. Horseback riding is available for a closer look at the canyon.

There are plenty of hiking and view points that are easily accessible. We rode our e-bikes to Sunset Point and Inspiration Points on a shared bike path. Temperatures during this time of the year was on the cool side. There are two campsites within Bryce Canyon, North Campground and Sunset Campground. North Campground is reservation only but Sunset Campground is a first come first serve campground. Just a note of warning, North Campground has some very steep sites so do your homework and try to get a level spot. Sunset cannot accomodate big rigs.
